The Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) will be participating in GITEX GLOBAL 2023, a renowned event bringing global innovators together, as part of the Abu Dhabi government pavilion. Taking place from October 16th to the 20th, this event, hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, is launching under the theme "The Year to Imagine AI in Everything," igniting the race for AI supremacy.
Participating at this dynamic event alongside 33 other government entities, DMT will unveil its cutting-edge inspection vehicle, setting a new standard in municipal and transport inspections. The inauguration and unveiling of this innovative vehicle which supported by artificial intelligence technologies.
In addition to the vehicle unveiling, DMT will sign two groundbreaking Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs). The first MOU, in collaboration with the global tech giant Amazon, focuses on AWS Smart Cities, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. The second MOU will be signed with Mohamed Bin Zayed Artificial Intelligence University, reinforcing DMT's commitment to cooperation in implementing advanced studies and research on artificial intelligence and smart cities.
On the occasion, HE. Omar Al Nuaimi, Director General for Corporate Affairs at Department of Municipalities and Transport said: "GITEX GLOBAL 2023 perfectly aligns with DMT's mission to lead technological advancements, enhance service delivery, and contribute to the ongoing development of Abu Dhabi's municipal and transport infrastructure."
“This is more than just participation; it's a significant milestone in shaping the future of AI and technology within the municipality and transport sector. With 40 Smart Inspection Vehicles set to hit the roads by 2023, the future is bright, promising smoother journeys and safer roads” he added.
Abu Dhabi's commitment to road safety and urban infrastructure is solid, with 50 Smart Inspection Vehicles expected to be deployed by 2024.
