Abu Dhabi City Municipality organised the “We Care for Our City” initiative at Four In Real Estate Village in the Hameem area, targeting members of the workforce as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance community awareness of the importance of preserving the city’s appearance and promoting positive behaviours that contribute to improving quality of life.
The initiative aimed to encourage workers and community members to adopt responsible practices that help maintain the city’s urban appearance. It also sought to raise awareness of the most common violations recorded within the Musaffah area and strengthen participants’ role as active partners in supporting the Municipality’s objectives and initiatives aimed at creating a clean, safe and sustainable urban environment.
The event featured an awareness workshop that highlighted the important role of workers in supporting Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s efforts to preserve the public appearance and adhere to behaviours that reduce negative practices and recurring violations, thereby contributing to maintaining the city’s distinguished and positive image.
As part of the initiative, a chess tournament was organised for workers in conjunction with World Chess Day, creating an engaging and recreational atmosphere that promoted positive competition and community interaction. Winners were honoured and presented with prizes in recognition of their participation and outstanding performance.
In another aspect of the initiative, participating workers were offered free medical examinations, in addition to the distribution of gifts to all attendees. These activities reflected Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s commitment to supporting the workforce, enhancing their quality of life and delivering community initiatives that combine awareness, recreation and healthcare services.
The initiative was organised in collaboration with several strategic partners, including the Labour Accommodation Authority, the Abu Dhabi Chess Club, Al Kooni Medical Centre and Al Madina Hypermarket. These partnerships contributed significantly to the success of the initiative and the achievement of its awareness and community objectives.
Through such initiatives, Abu Dhabi City Municipality reaffirms its ongoing commitment to enhancing community awareness, promoting a culture of preserving the public appearance and building effective channels of engagement with all segments of society. These efforts support Abu Dhabi’s vision of providing an integrated and sustainable urban environment that reflects its position as a vibrant global city distinguished by beauty, quality of life and community responsibility.
