Capitalizing on the delightful winter season to provide entertainment for the community, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through Madinat Zayed Municipality Center, hosted the "Winter Initiative" for four consecutive days in Madinat Zayed, this initiative was designed to engage various community segments, including People of Determination. It was a collaborative effort involving the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, Zayed University – College of Technological Innovation, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and Al Ahalia Hospital.
This event focused on creating a delightful winter experience for families, by offering a diverse mix of entertaining and educational events suitable for all ages and family members. Set in a vibrant and fun-filled family environment, it also aimed to support the initiatives of young entrepreneurs and productive families by providing opportunities to exhibit and sell their products to the public.
Visitors to the event were delighted by a multitude of offerings, including entertainment workshops and various event-specific zones contributing to their enjoyment. The event boasted a children's play area filled with age-appropriate and interactive games, alongside daily sessions for drawing and face painting. It also featured outdoor cinema presentations, engaging educational contests with rewards for winners and attendees, and specially curated activities for senior citizens.
In support of entrepreneurs and productive families, the event included 30 kiosks showcasing a diverse range of products from youth projects and family businesses, garnering appreciation, and interest from visitors. Moreover, a variety of agricultural products were displayed. Attendees also had the opportunity to enjoy a selection of delicious dishes and meals served by mobile food trucks, catering to a wide array of tastes throughout the event days.
