In line with its commitment to community engagement and promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through the Al Shahama Municipality Center, Madinat Zayed Municipality Center, organized a series of sports events targeting all segments of the community. These events were part of the "Sports Without Boarders" initiative, organized by the municipality in collaboration with its strategic partners.
As part of this initiative, the Al Shahama Municipality Center hosted a sports event at Al Rahba Square, targeting all community members. The event was organized in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Al Rahba Hospital, Abu Dhabi Pension Fund, Al Bustan Medical Center, and Sparky’s. It included running competitions and general knowledge contests, with prizes and shopping discount cards awarded to the winners and participants. Additionally, free medical check-ups were provided to attendees.
On the other hand, the Madinat Zayed Municipal Center organized a sports event for school students in Rabdan Park entitled (Sports September) in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the Sheikha Fatima Sports Academy, Mediclinic Hospital, and Nutrition. The event aimed to raise sports awareness among students, encourage them to practice sports activities and benefit from the community facilities provided by the municipality to make sports a way of life. The event included various sports competitions, including ball games, sports for people of determination, women’s sports, jiu-jitsu, beach sports, and the marathon.
