Within the framework of the unified initiative (Umm Saeed) that the Department of Municipalities and Transport is working on, and interactively the context of engaging with National Environment Day and to actualize its objectives, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through its Environment, Health, and Safety Department, has initiated a campaign focused on cleaning new construction sites in Abu Dhabi. This campaign aims to enhance the overall appearance, preserve the environment, and protect the health and safety of workers at these sites. Additionally, it strives to maintain the health and safety of community members.
The campaign additionally aimed to raise public awareness among consultants and contractors about maintaining cleanliness and a healthy work environment at construction sites. It emphasized the importance of removing environmental pollutants, construction debris, and waste. The campaign also focused on engaging developers, consultants, and contractors in environmental responsibility.
Within this framework, Abu Dhabi City Municipality expressed its confidence in the community's commitment and its efforts to enhance responsibility towards the environment. The Municipality also urged all entities, including consultants and contractors, to uphold the highest environmental standards at construction sites. It emphasized the importance of maintaining the general appearance of these sites and their surrounding areas, adhering to best practices in the transportation and disposal of construction waste, and prioritizing the health and safety of workers and their work environment.
