The award aims to foster competition among participating entities, enhance and develop safety, health, and environmental procedures, practices, and systems in the construction sector, and strengthen partnerships with the private sector. This will contribute to promoting awareness and a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility and reducing accidents, occupational injuries, and property damage.
The award is divided into three main categories: (Corporate Category, Project Category, and Individual Category), with the (Corporate Category) comprising four sub-awards: 1- Best Performance in Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
2- Best Practices in Environmental, Health, and Safety Applied by the Company.
3- Best Performance in Occupational Health and Safety Practices for Medium-Sized Projects.
4- Best Performance in Occupational Health and Safety Practices for Small Projects.
The (Project Category) includes the award for Best Performance in Safety and Health Management System for Large-Scale Projects, while the (Individual Category) is divided into two sections:
1- Male Professionals
2- Female Professionals
Each section will compete for the award recognizing Best Individual Performance in Safety, Health, and Environment for those working with contractors, consultants, and developers in the construction sector.
The award is based on a set of general technical criteria adopted by the Municipality to review, analyze, and evaluate all submitted entries. Winners will be selected by a specialized committee that considers nominations across all award categories.
It is worth noting that the award seeks to promote excellence among construction companies in Abu Dhabi in safety, occupational health, and environmental practices. It also strengthens collaboration with the private sector. It serves as a motivational platform for those responsible for construction sites to enhance their performance and adopt the best-recognized standards and practices in safety, health, and environment across all projects.
