Abu Dhabi City Municipality has stressed the importance of adhering to the engineering and aesthetic requirements for the installation of temporary fences, in order to preserve the city’s urban and visual appeal and ensure public safety.
This came during an inspection campaign on temporary fences at construction sites, organized by the Municipality and aimed at raising awareness among contractors and consultants operating in the building and construction sector in Abu Dhabi.
The Municipality highlighted the need to ensure that the necessary permits for temporary fences are obtained, that the fences are structurally sound, and that periodic maintenance is carried out. It also emphasized the importance of refraining from placing materials on the fence or in external areas without a permit, and called for ensuring safety standards to protect adjacent buildings and members of the public passing by.
