Abu Dhabi

In line with the UAE’s deep-rooted values and celebration of national and Islamic identity, Abu Dhabi City Municipality is organizing 10 Ramadan gatherings across different areas within the scope of municipal presence centers. This marks the first time such many Ramadan events have been held.
The gatherings will take place at the following locations: Khalifa City Square, Mohammed Bin Zayed City Square, Shakhbout City Square, Rabdan Park, Al Shamkhah Square, Al Rahbah Square, Al Falah Area, Al Bahyah Park, Al Bateen Area, and Al Mushrif Area. These gatherings aim to bring joy to the community through various social and recreational activities, cultural workshops, competitions, and entertainment programs tailored for children.
The initiative seeks to enhance municipal community centers, encourage community engagement in municipal events, and increase public participation. It also aims to inspire residents of the selected areas to play an active and positive role in these gatherings, fostering stronger social connections among different community segments. Additionally, the events will provide enriching recreational experiences and support small and medium-sized enterprises led by young entrepreneurs and productive families.
Eng. Omar Mohammed Al Hashimi, Director of the Municipal Community Center Project at Abu Dhabi City Municipality, stated that for the first time, 10 Ramadan gatherings are being organized to strengthen community bonds, promote family cohesion, and activate municipal facilities. These venues will be adorned with Ramadan-themed decorations and lighting to reflect the spirit of the holy month.
He further noted that the gatherings will feature over 150 kiosks to support productive families by providing a platform to showcase their diverse products to the public. Additionally, more than 50 food trucks will be available to promote national and youth-led projects. The events will also include a variety of recreational, heritage, and religious competitions, along with numerous Ramadan activities suitable for all age groups.
Al Hashimi emphasized the special attention given to children’s activities and workshops, ensuring that families enjoy quality time together in a Ramadan atmosphere. The program will include social and recreational activities, cultural workshops, interactive sessions, and competitions designed for children.
Abu Dhabi City Municipality invites the public to attend these Ramadan gatherings, held daily from March 7 to March 20, between 9:00 PM and midnight. Visitors can enjoy a carefully curated selection of activities catering to individuals of all ages.
