Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi City Municipality has installed 2,700 illuminated pieces of geometric shapes, sculptures, light curtains, and strips hanging between light poles in many areas within Abu Dhabi Island and the external cities within the municipality's geographical scope and its sub-centers. This installation is part of the celebration of Eid al-Adha, aiming to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of community members and share their celebrations on this great occasion.

The municipality teams have meticulously installed thousands of illuminated pieces and sculptures, transforming the cityscape into a vibrant tapestry of light. The dazzling display featured 2,100 geometric shapes gracefully adorning light poles, 450 electric curtains with intricate geometric patterns suspended between poles on sturdy iron supports, and 150 captivating 3D sculptures. These illuminated masterpieces were complemented by flashing lighting units, casting a mesmerizing glow in primary colors of white, gold, yellow, and sky blue. The harmonious blend of light and form created a breathtaking spectacle that embodied the spiritual essence of Eid and resonated deeply with the community.

The sculptures' designs incorporated many creative ideas, drawing inspiration from flowers, nature, and the unique illuminated pieces that adorn Abu Dhabi Corniche, including its flower arrangements, vases, and illuminated hanging curtains integrated with geometric shapes. Additionally, designs of tree branches, leaves, and flowers were harmoniously added to most of the illuminated formations to exude an elegant artistic touch, aligning with the occasion and the civilizational and urban renaissance witnessed by Abu Dhabi.

The illuminated decorations displayed greetings commonly exchanged among Emirati community members, such as "Eid Mubarak" (Blessed Eid). The Abu Dhabi City Municipality ensured that the light formations and panels were harmonious and appropriate sizes for the streets, ensuring vehicle and pedestrian safety. They are made from environmentally friendly materials and are high-quality in terms of insulation and resistance to weather factors and changes.
