Abu Dhabi
Embracing the principles of sustainability and the art of natural embellishment, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, directed by the Technical Services Department, has accomplished an impressive transformation of the central island on Hazza Bin Zayed Street. This project, extending from the junction with Sultan Bin Zayed the First Street to the intersection with Saeed bin Ahmed Al Otaiba Street on Abu Dhabi Island, was designed to elevate the appeal of natural beauty along the median islands of the island's main arteries.
Furthermore, the Municipality has triumphantly completed the first stage of a similar endeavor on Al Mowadi Street's central island, particularly from the vicinity of Abu Dhabi Mall to the junction with Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Street. This comprehensive scheme incorporated planting blooming trees, guava fruit trees, and a variety of ground cover plants, seasonal flowers, and ornamental shrubs.
In harmony with the ongoing urban enhancement and developmental initiatives led by the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, the business precincts were adorned with 29 flowering Ponciana trees, 28 guava fruit trees, 3972 Cecivime ground cover plants, 204 Ruwailia ground cover plants, 180 Banassitim shrubs, and 4044 Lycophyllium shrubs.
The project also witnessed the planting of 768 seasonal Petunia flowers, 41 flowering Tobia Rosa trees, 5116 Astasia ground cover plants, 4168 dwarf Sisivium ground cover plants, and a substantial number of Ghaf and Sidr trees. Complementing these were cosmetic gravel brushes in diverse areas, formations, and colors, meticulously placed to enhance the aesthetic ambiance of the business areas
It is crucial to note that the Abu Dhabi City Municipality is committed to preserving the elements of natural beauty, enhancing the overall aesthetic appearance, and expanding green spaces within its purview. This commitment is in line with its mission to uplift the quality of life, foster community happiness, enrich the cultural milieu, and support the urban renewal that Abu Dhabi is currently witnessing, all while maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
