Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through the City Planning Sector - Classification and Professions Registration Department, organized a number of awareness workshops during the second quarter (Q2) of 2023 on the engineer registration system on the "TAMM" platform, which targeted engineers working in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and those concerned with contracting companies and engineering consulting offices.
The workshops, which were organized during the months of April, May and June 2023, aimed to educate engineers working in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi on how to apply for registration services on the "TAMM" platform, and to present samples of the documents required to be submitted in the registration application.
The workshops dealt with the mechanism and steps of applying for the services of registering engineers on the "TAMM" platform, explaining that the applicant must meet the required technical standards, which are to obtain a bachelor's degree in engineering with the equivalent certificate issued by the Ministry of Higher Education in the UAE, and meet the requirements of previous practical experience. It can also view the procedures and requirements necessary for the engineer registration system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi through the official website of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (https://pages.dmt.gov.ae/ar/dashboard), where the user guides for the classification and registration of professions management services have been updated on the electronic services of the "Tamm" platform.
The workshop team presented visual materials explaining the procedures and requirements for the registration of engineers, as well as explaining how to apply for engineer registration services through the "TAMM" platform and presenting models of documents required to be submitted in the registration application, and then the work team answered the questions and inquiries received by the participants.
The Abu Dhabi City Municipality invites all engineers working in the building and construction sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to register in the new engineer registration system through the "TAMM" platform to obtain the cards that will entitle them to deal with the relevant government agencies, including the municipalities of the emirate, as contracting companies and engineering consultancy offices must attach electronic copies of the engineers' registration cards for all transactions related to the building and construction sector, and also confirms that the designer engineer is shown his card on the engineering plans according to Specialization.
