Department of Municipalities and Transport represented by the Abu Dhabi City Municipality Ranks First Globally in the Number of Green Flag-Accredited Parks for 2025

The Department of Municipalities and Transport, through Abu Dhabi City Municipality, marked a major milestone this year after 21 new parks earned the Green Flag Award and 31 others were successfully renewed. With a total of 52 accredited parks across the city, Abu Dhabi City Municipality now ranks first worldwide for the highest number of Green Flag–recognized parks and recreational spaces in 2025.
To celebrate the achievement, H.E. Ahmed Fadhel Almehairbi, Acting Director General of Abu Dhabi City Municipality, raised the Green Flag at Khalifa Square and honored the team behind the accomplishment, along with members of the international Green Flag committee, during a special recognition ceremony.
