The Abu Dhabi City Municipality, represented by the Madinat Zayed Municipality Centre, within the scope of the municipal presence in Shakhbout City, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Police General Command, the Integrated Transport Center and in coordination with public and private schools in Shakhbout City, launched the “Together for Tomorrow’s Generations” initiative coinciding with the start of the new school year, which aims to improve the flow of Traffic movement and pedestrian safety around schools.
Within this framework, the municipal presence continues its efforts aimed at enhancing the efficiency of traffic safety standards in the areas surrounding schools, in commitment to providing a safe educational environment for students, their parents, educational staff, and drivers crossing these important areas
This initiative comes from the municipality’s keenness to unify joint efforts with strategic partners to create the best safe and smooth environments for the areas surrounding schools, with the aim of enhancing student safety, achieving flexible traffic flow and fluidity, and avoiding congestion at peak times in these areas.
The joint initiative resulted in finding successful traffic solutions, for example, for the area surrounding the “Al-Ittihad National School” in Shakhbout City, which was witnessing congestion with cars in the surrounding area. The joint efforts reached the best alternatives that provided safe and smooth crossing, which reflected positively on the safety of students and car drivers. And buses.
