Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through Musaffah Municipality Center, conducted an inspection and awareness-raising campaign targeting real estate owners, construction companies, and consultation offices within the geographic area of the center. The campaign's objective was to raise awareness about to the significance of abiding by all requirements of temporary walls installation during construction, and the laws applicable in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi pertaining the preservations of community’s safety, maintenance the overall aesthetics of the city, and ensuring a healthy environment.
The campaign aimed at establishing a safe work environment in construction sites, and fully securing temporary walls through increasing compliance with the safety requirements pertaining to their installment. During the campaign, real estate owners, construction companies, and consultation offices were educated on the necessity of holding a license issued by Abu Dhabi City Municipality for installing temporary walls in sites, as well as the importance of regularly maintaining temporary walls ensure their integrity. The campaign also emphasized the prohibition of storing on the walls or external areas without an official permit, and in a manner that ensures the safety of the surrounding buildings and prevents the deterioration of the wall.
The campaign involved sending informative to the target audience and publishing various awareness posts on the Municipality’s official social media accounts and “Freejna” application. The aim was to raise awareness about the importance of establishing a safe work environment in construction sites, and compliance with temporary walls requirements to ensure the safety of the community.
Abu Dhabi City Municipality calls upon construction site supervisors to recognize the importance of maintaining temporary walls, ensuring their compliance with general safety standards and overall appearance requirements, and the importance of the provision of engineering and aesthetic specifications for these walls.
The Municipality also emphasizes the importance of meeting safety requirements for the well-being of site workers, residents, and passersby near the project site, all in the interest of everyone's safety.
