Al Tawajud Al Baladi Center – Mohammed Bin Zayed City (Union Trip) organized the visit of senior citizens and their families from the people of Mohammed Bin Zayed City to the National Library and Archives, within the framework of the keenness of the Al Tawajud Al Baladi Centers to communicate effectively with the community in all its categories and make its members happy.
This initiative coincides with the celebration of the International Day of Older Persons, and an expression of appreciation and respect for the status of municipal presence for senior citizens, and an affirmation of their high status and appreciation among the UAE society.
The initiative encompassed visits to the cultural exhibition and examinations of its contents, along with hosting dialogue sessions between different generations. The objective was to glean from the experience and wisdom of senior citizens and to understand the experiences they accumulated throughout their lives.
The visit entailed a field tour around the archives and the National Library, allowing participants to explore its various sections and understand its role in preserving the country’s culture, history, and essential documents.
