Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi City Municipality is committed to holding a series of workshops aimed at enhancing communication with consulting offices operating in Abu Dhabi during the third quarter of this year, 2024. These meetings are utilized to keep consulting offices informed of the latest developments, updates, and requirements in the construction sector, contributing to the advancement of this sector and providing services that meet its aspirations through flexible laws and procedures that help drive urban development.
As part of this effort, the Building Permits Administration within the Urban Planning Sector organized a remote awareness workshop via Microsoft Teams, targeting consulting offices to explain updates related to work mechanisms, laws, and regulations that contribute to improving the quality of work and projects. The workshop also reviewed legislative updates, raised awareness among consulting offices, and presented challenges and development proposals within the construction sector.
The workshop covered various topics and objectives, including an explanation of the Architectural Facades Guide, checklists, submission templates, mechanisms for approving facades according to the approved guide, discussion of recurring comments regarding buildings, and emphasizing the importance of aligning the targeted architectural character in Abu Dhabi with the standards outlined in the Abu Dhabi Building Facades Guide. Additionally, the workshop addressed the quality of materials, the achievement of sustainability standards, environmental considerations, and the distinctive architectural character in Abu Dhabi and its suburbs.
