Abu Dhabi City Municipality is unwavering in its commitment to uphold the city's cultural and aesthetic integrity. This dedication is reflected in the organization of various educational and awareness-raising events, alongside rigorous inspection campaigns throughout its regions. These efforts are integral to the “Um Saeed” initiative, launched by the Department of Municipalities and Transport, which aims to sustain the city's visual charm.
In partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company (Tadweer), and various schools in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through Al Wathba Municipality Center, conducted the “Abu Dhabi is beautiful” “Our City, Our Splendor” event at Al Wathba Park. The event's objective was to enlighten school students about the significance of preserving the overall aesthetic of their city.
The event at Al Wathba Park, featuring a range of workshops and lectures, aimed to educate school students and visitors about maintaining the area's appearance without distortions, emphasized proper use of public facilities to improve quality of life and aesthetic appeal, informed attendees about laws governing public appearance, and included educational contests that concluded with an awards ceremony to honor the winners.
Likewise, the Musaffah Municipality Center, collaborating with Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and the Friends of the Environment Society, organized an event in Al Nouf. The purpose of this event was to educate workers on the significance of environmental preservation and maintaining the overall aesthetic of the city.
The event was centered on educating the target groups about the importance of agriculture and its beneficial effects on the environment and the city's overall appearance. In a joint initiative with the Friends of the Environment Society, 100 mangrove seedlings were planted at Al Nouf Beach. Furthermore, the event featured a clean-up activity for the beach and its surrounding areas, highlighting the dedication to environmental preservation.
