Abu Dhabi City Municipality has delivered a series of community-focused initiatives under the theme “My City is More Beautiful”, across several municipal centres, aimed at strengthening environmental awareness and promoting a culture of preserving the city’s public appearance—contributing to enhanced quality of life and safeguarding the Emirate’s distinctive urban character.
The initiative commenced at Musaffah Municipality Centre, with activities held at Musaffah Bazaar, targeting the workforce through engaging, on-site awareness workshops that highlighted the importance of maintaining public spaces.
Delivered in collaboration with key strategic partners—including the Labour Accommodation Authority, Al Ahliya Hospital, Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, and the Environment, Health and Safety Department—the initiative reflects a unified commitment to community wellbeing.
At Al Wathba Municipality Centre, activities took place at Al Talli Park, engaging school students, children, and wider community members. The programme featured interactive agricultural workshops introducing modern cultivation practices and the importance of planting in enhancing quality of life, alongside awareness sessions on the role of agriculture in environmental protection and sustainability, with participation from the Landscaping Maintenance, Recreational Facilities, and Forestry Section.
The initiative concluded at the City Centre Municipality, with activities hosted at Dolphin Park and open to all segments of the community. The programme focused on raising awareness of preserving the city’s aesthetic appeal and reducing negative behaviours through targeted awareness workshops.
A number of entities participated in delivering the initiative, including Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, Tadweer Group, the Environment Friends Society, Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, and Medeor Hospital.
This initiative forms part of the Municipality’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community partnerships, promote sustainability, and inspire positive behaviours that contribute to preserving public spaces and enhancing the urban landscape, in line with Abu Dhabi’s vision for a sustainable environment and a more aware society.
