Abu Dhabi
The Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through its Urban Planning Sector - Environment, Health, and Safety Department, recently organized a workshop for consultants and contracting companies operating in Abu Dhabi. The workshop aimed to raise their awareness about the requirements of the Abu Dhabi Emirate Occupational Health and Safety System, particularly for the construction sector. The workshop covered various topics, including the mechanism for monitoring the implementation of these requirements, such as submitting periodic reports, activity reports, auditing, and other relevant matters.
An awareness workshop was held to ensure the safety and well-being of workers in the construction and building sector. The main objective of the workshop was to educate workers in newly registered companies about the requirements of the Abu Dhabi Emirate Occupational Safety and Health System and raise awareness of safety measures to be taken to preserve lives and property.
The workshop aimed to educate the target groups about the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health System, including its general framework, organizational structure, and the roles and responsibilities of companies in implementing the system. It also covered the electronic performance mechanisms of the system, reporting procedures for incidents, and the submission of mandatory forms in the electronic program, in compliance with the occupational safety and health requirements in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
After presenting the key components of the overall framework for the Abu Dhabi Emirate Occupational Health and Safety System, the workshop focused on exploring effective strategies to implement these requirements and achieve the ultimate objective of safeguarding lives and property. The participants had the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarifications during the workshop, and solutions were proposed to help overcome any challenges they may encounter while implementing or automating the monitoring process.
