Through Municipal Services Sector - Public Health Department, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, implemented an awareness-raising inspection drive on children’s playrooms. The drive was aimed at rooms located within the geographical scope of Abu Dhabi City Municipality and its sub-centers in order to raise-awareness among its owner and workers about the necessity and importance of public hygiene. Also, it aimed at raising awareness regarding adherence to health requirements that should be followed.   
During the drive, municipality inspectors verified that children's playrooms adhered to all health requirements and public hygiene standards. They also enhanced the knowledge of owners and workers regarding the importance of hygiene and compliance with health requirements in these facilities, aiming to protect the health and safety of their visitors.
On top of that, municipality teams increased awareness among playroom owners and workers about the necessity of regular cleaning and adherence to all health requirements. These include maintaining public hygiene within the playrooms, completing all maintenance procedures, ensuring the availability of a first aid box that meets requirements, complying with specified lighting levels inside the facility, and maintaining records of regular cleaning and disinfection. 
Abu Dhabi City Municipality also emphasizes its commitment to regularly and persistently conducting such inspection drives throughout the year. These inspections will cover all children's playrooms within its geographical area. The aim is to protect the health and safety of children, ensuring they can enjoy their time in a safe and healthy environment that not only brings joy but also aids in developing their skills and knowledge.
