In line with the celebration of “Emirati Women’s Day”, the Department of Municipalities and Transport, represented by Abu Dhabi City Municipality, organized a series of diverse events to honor Emirati women, recognize their pioneering role, and highlight their vital contributions to nation building, as key partners in the journey of development, progress, and prosperity across various fields.
The celebration of Women's Day comes under the slogan "Hand in Hand, We Celebrate the Fifty," which was launched to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the General Women's Union in the country.
The celebrations aimed to showcase the achievements of Emirati women in different sectors, acknowledge their contributions to society, and emphasize their role as fundamental partners in the process of national development. The events also highlighted inspiring success stories and local women-led initiatives through a series of panel discussions, awareness sessions, and health-related activities, with the participation of several Emirati businesswomen.
It is noteworthy that organizing these events reflects Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s commitment to supporting and promoting the status of Emirati women, reaffirming their essential role in the comprehensive development journey witnessed by the United Arab Emirates.
