Abu Dhabi

As part of its ongoing efforts to curb graffiti and enhance the city’s visual appeal in line with Abu Dhabi’s urban and cultural development, Abu Dhabi City Municipality has organised a series of field campaigns and awareness workshops targeting all segments of the community, including property owners and school students. The initiative aims to foster a sense of social responsibility and encourage positive behaviours that contribute to preserving the city’s overall aesthetic.
In support of these efforts, the Municipality conducted field campaigns across its areas of jurisdiction to raise awareness among community members and property owners on the importance of maintaining clean external walls and removing any graffiti or defacing markings, in order to uphold the city’s urban and aesthetic standards. The campaigns also highlighted relevant regulations and Abu Dhabi City Municipality guidelines related to public appearance.
The initiative further included educational workshops for school students, focusing on the importance of preserving the city’s visual identity and discouraging graffiti as a negative behaviour. The sessions addressed the causes of graffiti, its adverse impacts, and effective ways to prevent its spread, reinforcing the importance of maintaining the city’s aesthetic character.
During the workshops, students were encouraged to adopt positive practices that contribute to enhancing public spaces, preserving recreational and community facilities, and supporting sustainability values.
