Abu Dhabi

Inspection campaigns will be carried out in cooperation with strategic partners to ensure community safety

His Excellency Falah Al Ahbabi, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), issued a decree to form a working group to manage inspections of farms and ranches in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The inspections will be led by the Department of Municipalities and Transport, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center (Tadweer), Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority and the Camel Racing Federation to educate the community on maintaining the general appearance and safety of their farms and ranches.

The decision is part of efforts to educate community members about the importance of removing waste from roads and pathways leading to farms and ranches, and preserving clean, healthy environments across Abu Dhabi.

The task force will place the safety of all society members as its top priority, which requires cooperation within communities to help curb the spread of Covid-19.

During the coming period, joint inspection campaigns will be intensified to educate owners of the need to adhere to farms’ and cattle ranches designated purpose.

The team will ensure everyone remains committed to these laws and regulations by taking a firm stance on violations committed, enforcing legal action against owners where necessary, and educating communities about the procedures and violations in place, especially in light of the current pandemic requiring concerted efforts to preserve the health and safety of society.
