As part of its ongoing efforts to ensure that Abu Dhabi’s beaches remain attractive destinations and ideal recreational venues for all segments of society, Abu Dhabi City Municipality organized the campaign “Our Home, Our Responsibility – Our Beaches Are Beautiful”, aimed at raising awareness among beachgoers of all ages about the importance of keeping beaches clean and safe, thereby contributing to community happiness and enhancing quality of life.
During the campaign, beach visitors were educated on the importance of preserving a clean environment and the general appearance of beaches by disposing of waste in designated bins. They were also made aware of the need to protect the assets, facilities, and equipment available at the beaches and to avoid damaging them, so that they remain fully efficient in serving and delighting the public.
Municipality teams were also keen to raise awareness among beachgoers about preserving public property and beach facility equipment, and about adhering to the instructions displayed on guidance signs, particularly those related to maintaining the overall civilised and aesthetic appearance, in order to preserve the cleanliness of beaches and ensure a healthy environment.
This initiative comes within the framework of Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s commitment to providing sophisticated, modern facilities that keep pace with Abu Dhabi’s ongoing development, and to offering beaches that meet the expectations of individuals and families alike. This contributes to community wellbeing and reinforces quality-of-life standards, while giving community members, lovers of open spaces, and enthusiasts of water and beach sports the opportunity to enjoy wonderful atmospheres filled with fun and adventure.
