In an emirate known for its visual appeal and state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure that enrich the standard of living, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, in collaboration with the Strategic Planning and Performance Management Sector and the Sub-Municipalities Operations Sector, held its third session of the year, dubbed the Oversight and Audit Session.
This meeting was intended to amplify coordination among the strategic allies and the inspection squads of relevant entities to boost efficiency, elevate the competency of inspectors, empower them, and accentuate their role in enhancing and conserving the city's visual standards. 
His Excellency Engineer Khalfan Sultan Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Sub-Municipalities Operations Sector, confirmed in his speech during the opening of the session that this meeting aims to unify the common vision in order to improve the general appearance of cities, and maintain public cleanliness and health standards in a way that contributes to enhancing the quality of life, stressing that the joint efforts of Efforts and their integration would make a big difference in the level of confronting distortions in the general appearance, and establishing a societal culture that contributes to achieving our common goals of preserving the civilized, advanced and beautiful appearance of our cities.
His Excellency added: This session comes based on the outcomes of the Oversight and Inspection Forum and confirms the joint endeavor to discuss and exchange practical and applied ideas, and exchange experiences for the continuous improvement of oversight and inspection mechanisms, advanced practices in addressing distortions, and following the best ways to involve society in this goal, and promoting the values of Social responsibility to maintain the public appearance and stop all forms of practices that would harm the appearance of public and private facilities alike through a tight and integrated inspection, control and remedial mechanism.
He pointed out that the most important realistic, effective and expected outcomes are activating the role of unified oversight, raising enthusiasm and highlighting the importance of the role of inspectors in improving the appearance of the city, exchanging experiences and strengthening relations between the government and private sectors.
Additionally, it aimed to address challenges in the inspection system, ensure thorough adherence to laws and regulations, and position Abu Dhabi among the world's most picturesque cities. Another goal was to foster knowledge exchange and solidify ties between the government and private sectors to fortify a collective supervisory role.
To fortify the bond between Abu Dhabi City Municipality and its strategic allies in preserving the city's aesthetics, the session was graced by representatives from the Department of Municipalities and Transport, the municipality's satellite centers, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, Department of Economic Development, Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi, Civil Defense Authority, General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Monitoring and Control Center, Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company (Tadweer), Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, Sewerage Services Department, Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat), and Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (Du).
The session delved into the execution of ideas that surfaced during the brainstorming workshops, enhancement of the competence of staff in the oversight and audit sectors, emphasis on general and specialized inspection teams, and the activation of pacts with associated bodies.
Additionally, they deliberated on potential enhancements, knowledge sharing within the audit system, and strategies to incentivize strategic allies to take a proactive role in safeguarding the city's aesthetic standards.
