Abu Dhabi City Municipality held a heartfelt ceremony to mark Commemoration Day, remembering the brave martyrs who gave their lives for the country’s honor, its people’s safety, and to protect everything our nation has achieved. The ceremony was at the main municipal building, with His Excellency Saif Bader Al Qubaisi, Director General of the Municipality, leading directors and municipal staff in paying respects.
His Excellency Saif Bader Al Qubaisi shared deep thanks to our homeland's martyrs, who sacrificed so much for our highest values, defended our state, and kept our people safe. He spoke about how proud he is of our armed forces’ bravery.
He highlighted that Martyrs' Day is a special time to show our deepest respect for the sacrifices made by our martyrs. They are our heroes of generosity, our sources of sacrifice. He mentioned that the strength of the United Arab Emirates comes from our wise leaders and the courage of our armed forces. They stand strong to keep our country secure and uphold our citizens' dignity. He showed the deepest respect for the martyrs' families, who have lost their children for the country's pride.
The Director General also highlighted that the UAE's heroic sons have shown their strength and will to stand against any threat to our country and its people. They have been outstanding examples of sacrifice when called upon to serve the nation. With their bravery and faith in their leaders’ vision, they have created stories of heroism that will always be remembered by the nation and its people.
