Al Ain City Municipality announced the completion of preparations at its slaughterhouses and Al Ain Central Livestock Market to prepare for Eid Al-Fitr, as part of its operational plan aimed at providing integrated municipal services that contribute to maintaining public health and enhancing quality of life in Al Ain. This ensures an organized and safe service experience for residents and visitors during the Eid holidays.
Hassan Al Kaabi, Head of the Veterinary Services Section, confirmed that the municipality has enhanced the readiness of slaughterhouses by carrying out comprehensive maintenance of facilities, equipment, and production lines, and by ensuring the efficiency of slaughtering and cutting equipment as well as cooling systems. Adequate quantities of slaughtering tools, preparation supplies, sanitization materials, and personal protective equipment have also been provided to ensure efficient operations and accommodate the expected increase in the number of animals processed during Eid.
Specialized teams have intensified sterilization and sanitization operations inside and outside the slaughterhouses, in addition to strengthening public health pest control programs. They have also ensured the readiness of sewage systems, water treatment plants, and safe waste disposal mechanisms, in line with best environmental and health practices.
