Al Ain City Municipality announced its readiness to welcome the Holy Month of Ramadan 2026 through a comprehensive set of community and humanitarian events and initiatives, alongside the implementation of full operational plans in slaughterhouses, markets, and service facilities. This reflects its commitment to enhancing quality of life, strengthening social solidarity, and ensuring the provision of integrated municipal and health services that meet community expectations during the holy month.
The municipality stated that Ramadan activities include organizing the second edition of “Hafeet Ramadan Challenge” in cooperation with Al Ain Sports Club. The event aims to encourage community members to engage in physical activity and promote healthy lifestyles through sports programs tailored to different age groups, contributing to the spread of a culture of community sports in a motivating Ramadan atmosphere.
The municipality is also organizing the “Ramadan in Al Ain” festival in the courtyard of its building, starting on 27 February 2026 and lasting for ten days. The festival offers a comprehensive Ramadan experience combining cultural, social, and entertainment aspects to strengthen community bonds.
The festival includes a traditional market area, restaurant and café spaces, and nightly events featuring prominent figures from art, sports, literature, and media. It also includes theatrical performances, fireworks, and Ramadan gatherings with daily competitions and prize distributions to enrich visitors’ experience.
