Al Ain City Municipality has begun installing Eid Al-Fitr decorations across a number of main streets and intersections in the city, as part of its efforts to create a festive atmosphere that reflects the joy of Eid and enhances the aesthetic appearance across various areas of the city. This initiative contributes to spreading happiness among community members and supports the objectives of improving quality of life and enriching the city’s urban landscape during religious occasions.
Engineer Moza Al Muhairi, Decoration Project Manager at Al Ain City Municipality, stated that the total number of installed decorative pieces reached approximately 1,400, distributed along 98 kilometres, according to a well-planned strategy covering key vital routes and high-traffic areas in the city.
Al Muhairi added that the decoration works included several major streets, such as Ali Bin Abi Talib Street, Hessa Street, Othman Bin Affan Street, Khalifa Bin Zayed Street, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street, and Municipality Street, in addition to key intersections including Qasr Al Maqam Intersection, Hessa Street Intersection, Clock Intersection, and Sheikha Salama Mosque Intersection.
This year’s decoration designs feature a spiritual theme inspired by Islamic heritage, incorporating aesthetic elements such as crescents, stars, dallah (traditional coffee pot), and Arabic geometric patterns, along with greeting phrases reflecting the spirit of Eid such as “Eid Mubarak,” “Welcome Eid,” “Wishing You Well Every Year,” and “May You Be Blessed on Its Return,” among others.
The municipality ensured that the decorations were implemented in accordance with the highest standards and approved specifications, using high-quality materials compliant with electrical safety requirements to ensure stability and durability under various weather conditions. Modern energy-efficient LED lighting technologies were also utilized, along with environmentally friendly, recyclable materials, in line with sustainability goals.
