Al Ain City Municipality is carrying out a campaign to remove distorted promotional stickers from lighting poles across various areas of Al Ain. So far, the work teams have successfully removed more than 5,000 stickers using environmentally friendly and safe materials that preserve the quality and integrity of the poles.
This initiative comes as part of the “Al Ain Deserves” campaign, which aims to promote the preservation of Al Ain’s urban appearance by encouraging the community to actively participate in maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of public spaces. The campaign reflects the spirit of social responsibility and strengthens Al Ain’s identity as a clean, safe, and welcoming city for both residents and visitors.
The Municipality seeks through this campaign to maintain the visual beauty of public facilities, roads, and residential neighbourhoods, while also highlighting the architectural identity of the city.
The Municipality emphasized that preserving the aesthetic character of Al Ain is a shared responsibility that requires the cooperation of all community members, including refraining from placing stickers on public facilities. Community participation in these efforts contributes to protecting public infrastructure and enhancing its sustainability to ensure that it continues to serve current and future generations effectively.
This aligns with the Municipality’s commitment to striking a balance between preserving the city’s rich cultural heritage and developing its infrastructure and public facilities to meet the evolving needs and aspirations of the community—supporting sustainable growth.
