Al Ain City Municipality enhanced the efficiency of its reporting system, the speed of field response, and the readiness of specialized teams deployed across various areas of the city, in response to the weather conditions affecting the country.
The municipality handled more than 400 reports since the onset of the weather conditions, contributing to community safety and maintaining smooth traffic flow.
Shamsa Al Neyadi, Director of the Emergency and Business Continuity Department at Al Ain City Municipality, stated that public parks, recreational areas, and playgrounds were temporarily closed, including the Green Mubazzarah area, as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of visitors amid the current weather fluctuations.
She confirmed that tunnels and main and secondary roads in Al Ain remain open and are experiencing normal traffic flow, thanks to the efficiency of the infrastructure, continuous maintenance and operation efforts, and the readiness of field teams to monitor the situation and respond immediately to any developments.
Al Neyadi added that the municipality activated an integrated response system, including the implementation of emergency and business continuity plans, along with increasing the readiness of operational teams and infrastructure maintenance. Awareness campaigns were also conducted targeting various segments of society, including sending SMS alerts to more than 18,000 farm owners and livestock breeders, in addition to disseminating weather-related awareness messages under the “Stay Ready with Emergencies” campaign through municipal outreach centers, reaching 5,259 beneficiaries from the Al Ain community.
