Al Ain City Municipality has launched a public awareness campaign under the slogan “Our Flag Deserves”, aimed at promoting the culture of preserving the condition and dignity of the UAE flag, and reinforcing values of loyalty and national belonging within the community. The campaign comes in conjunction with Flag Day, a national occasion that symbolizes the unity of the Emirati people and their pride in their wise leadership and national identity.
Fatima Al Shamsi, Head of the Community Engagement Section at Al Ain Municipality, explained that the campaign focuses on raising awareness among community members and various entities about the importance of keeping the flag clean, well-maintained, and replacing it when worn or damaged. It also highlights the importance of raising the flag properly and respectfully in accordance with approved guidelines, as a reflection of the country’s civilized image and as an expression of respect for its national symbol that unites all under its banner.As part of the campaign activities, the Municipality participated in the national initiative “Our Flag, Our Pride” in alignment with Flag Day, during which 1,000 flags were distributed to citizens and residents at the Municipality’s headquarters. The initiative took place in a patriotic atmosphere expressing loyalty and pride in the nation and its wise leadership.
Al Ain City Municipality confirmed that launching the “Our Flag Deserves” campaign aligns with its ongoing efforts to strengthen national identity and enhance the public appearance of Al Ain. The Municipality emphasized that the flag represents a symbol of pride and sovereignty, and preserving it is a national duty and a shared social responsibility.
