Al Ain City Municipality announced its participation in the second edition of the UAE Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2026, held at ADNEC Centre Al Ain from 22 to 26 April, with wide participation from farmers, experts, and specialists in the agricultural sector.
During its participation, the municipality is showcasing a range of its pioneering and innovative agricultural projects as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance environmental sustainability and support the food security system, in line with the UAE’s direction toward adopting smart and sustainable solutions in the agricultural sector.
The municipality’s participation includes presenting the soil thermal sterilization (solarization) project, which is considered an environmentally friendly agricultural solution. The project relies on utilizing solar energy to raise soil temperatures and eliminate pathogens and agricultural pests without using chemical pesticides, thereby improving soil fertility, increasing agricultural production efficiency, and reducing operational costs.
The municipality is also showcasing the development and plantation project of Wadi Tarabat Road, which aims to enhance green spaces and improve the urban landscape through planting local fruit trees adapted to the environment and implementing modern irrigation and fertilization systems that contribute to water conservation and sustainability.
The exhibition also provides a comprehensive introduction to the “Virtual Agent” project, one of the innovative initiatives employing artificial intelligence technologies to enhance municipal work efficiency. The project aims to support the review of garden plans through a smart system capable of analysing designs and issuing organized preliminary observations based on unified technical guidelines, in addition to its operation in managing and operating smart agricultural machinery.
