On Friday, Al Ain Municipality launched the Al Ain Flower Festival at Al Sarooj Park, drawing a large public turnout. The opening ceremony featured a flower carnival, fireworks, and heritage performances that continued throughout the festival. The festival welcomes visitors daily from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays, and until midnight on weekends.
Spanning an area of 50,000 square meters, the festival grounds hosted a variety of activities, some of which are being held in Al Ain for the first time, including the floral carnival. Ten classic cars adorned with a wide range of flowers toured the streets surrounding the festival area, accompanied by cartoon characters and performers in festive costumes that reflect the spirit of the city.
Behind the festival stage, a fireworks display lasting more than six minutes lit up the sky, delighting the audience with a show distinguished by diverse shapes and vibrant colors, adding to the joyful atmosphere of the festival, which is being held for the fourth consecutive year.
The festival’s green spaces, covering more than 32,000 square meters of landscaping—including 17,250 square meters dedicated to flowers—created a fragrant and refreshing ambiance. Artistic floral displays crafted from seasonal flowers in attractive colors and forms captivated visitors, who were keen to take photos among them.
The integrated services provided by Al Ain City Municipality at the festival site also encouraged visitors to spend long and enjoyable hours without any obstacles.
