Al Ain Municipality has completed the Al Reef Park project, located on Abu Aseerah Bin Al Harith Street in Al Reef area, covering a total area of 119,073 square metres. The new park represents a significant addition to the city's public parks and community facilities, offering a modern recreational destination for residents and visitors.

Engineer Saleh Al Aryani, Director of the Projects Implementation Department at Al Ain Municipality, said the park features a comprehensive range of sports and recreational facilities designed to serve all age groups. These include four sports courts comprising two multi-purpose courts, a football pitch, and a volleyball court, in addition to two children's play areas and seven outdoor fitness zones that encourage healthy and active lifestyles.

Al Aryani added that the park also includes dedicated cycling tracks for children and adults, a 1.4-kilometre walking track, an outdoor theatre for community events, and ten shaded seating areas that provide a welcoming environment for families and visitors. The park is further equipped with a reception centre, a café, public restrooms, and a prayer room, ensuring visitors enjoy a safe, comfortable, and integrated recreational experience.

Highlighting the project's environmental features, Al Aryani said the municipality placed strong emphasis on sustainability and landscape enhancement. A total of 1,221 trees, including 242 palm trees, have been planted throughout the park, while landscaped green areas cover approximately 410 square metres. Environmentally friendly materials were incorporated into the project, including soil additives that help retain moisture, as well as shaded structures, natural rocks, and stone walls that contribute to both environmental sustainability and the enhancement of the urban landscape.

Al Reef Park reflects Al Ain Municipality's vision of creating an integrated urban environment with sustainable green spaces that foster community cohesion, promote healthy lifestyles, and enhance the overall quality of life across the city.
