Al Ain City Municipality has launched an awareness campaign to introduce beneficiaries to the procedures for registering and utilizing livestock farms, as well as the specified period for commencing their use. The campaign forms part of the Municipality’s efforts to ensure the effective utilization of land allocated for livestock farms, supporting livestock development and local production.
The campaign aims to raise beneficiaries’ awareness of the importance of complying with livestock farm registration procedures and commencing utilization within the specified timeframes. It also seeks to improve the efficiency of allocated land use, reduce unused or abandoned livestock farms, optimize the use of resources, ensure that allocated land reaches eligible beneficiaries, and support the sustainability of livestock-related activities and local production.
Mohammed Saeed Al Darmaki, Director of the Livestock Farms, Industrial and Temporary Lands Department at Al Ain City Municipality, stressed the importance of beneficiaries commencing the utilization of their livestock farms within a period not exceeding three months from the date of allocation, in accordance with the undertaking submitted at the time of allocation. He noted that failure to utilize the farm within the specified period will result in regulatory action, including withdrawal of the farm allocation and cancellation of the allocation, with no entitlement to request allocation again, in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.
He explained that, following the allocation of the livestock farm, the beneficiary must issue the lease contract through the TAMM platform using the “Register or Renew a Livestock Farm Lease Contract” service within 30 working days, in order to avoid automatic withdrawal of the farm. The beneficiary must then apply for a land corner certificate for temporary lands and attach the lease contract. A surveyor appointment will subsequently be scheduled to identify the plot corners and hand over the site, after which the beneficiary may commence utilization in accordance with the approved requirements.
Regarding unregistered informal livestock farms that are already established and utilized by beneficiaries, Al Darmaki explained that registration requires the farm to have been established and actively utilized, with livestock present, by the first quarter of 2025. Beneficiaries may apply for registration through the nearest Municipal Presence Centre within the area where the farm is located and complete the procedures in accordance with the approved regulations. The contract will be issued and applicable fees collected from the date of submitting the application.
The Municipality noted that it will implement procedures to remove unregistered and abandoned livestock farms, with the aim of enhancing the regulation of livestock farm registration and utilization, improving the efficiency of allocated land use, ensuring that such land reaches eligible beneficiaries, and supporting food security, livestock development and local production
