Al Ain Municipality has launched a comprehensive inspection and awareness campaign titled "Safe Pools – Free from Health Risks", running from 8 June to 17 July 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to safeguard public health and strengthen community safety standards.
Hazza Al Dhaheri, Director of the Public Health Department, said the campaign targets all public swimming pools across hotels, resorts, residential compounds, sports clubs, and recreational facilities in Al Ain City. The campaign includes regulatory inspections of 73 swimming pools across 38 locations to ensure compliance with approved health requirements and safety standards, while providing a safe environment for pool users.
Al Dhaheri explained that the campaign focuses on several key priorities, including verifying water quality and ensuring it is free from contaminants, confirming the availability of qualified lifeguards in accordance with approved regulations, and inspecting the readiness of lifesaving equipment and emergency response facilities. These measures aim to reduce the risk of drowning and injuries while promoting the highest standards of public health and safety.
