Al Ain Municipality has completed a project to rehabilitate and reopen Ghanima Central Park, providing a 26,000 m2 providing a green space for adults and children. The park includes football, tennis, and volleyball courts, as well as chess game tables, suitable for all members of the community.
The park's location in the middle of residential neighborhoods enhances correlation with neighbors and friends. Play areas were designed in accordance with public safety requirements, and the park's facilities encourage the practice of various games and sports among the enchanting nature.
Al Ain Municipality periodically establishes play areas in residential areas to meet community needs, providing a breathing space for residents of each area and neighborhood and providing a social, recreational, and sporting forum for all categories of community.
The project includes the maintenance of public and miniature parks in line with the Department of Municipalities and Transport's strategy to efficiently provide customer-oriented services while improving the overall appearance of the city. This contributes to raising the citizen satisfaction index with the quality of parks and recreational facilities, as well as the community satisfaction index with the surrounding living environment.
The project aims to provide sustainable infrastructure and facilities that meet the needs of the community, while preserving agricultural and non-agricultural assets and improving the aesthetic appearance through the application of the highest quality standards, while increasing the per capita /per head share of green space.
The project includes the rehabilitation of playgrounds by replacing benches and floors. In public parks, lampposts will be renovated and artificial grass will be replaced. It will also include the maintenance and beautification of public and miniature parks, playgrounds, and walkways located within the northern sector of Al Ain city.
The project's maintenance operations are distributed across Al Heer Park, Al Shuwaib Park, Al Faqa Park, Nahel Park, Al Heer Oasis, Al Heer Recreational Park, and miniature parks in residential neighborhoods.
