Al Ain City Municipality's slaughterhouses announced their readiness to receive Qurbani sacrificing (sacrificial animals) during Eid Al Adha at 11 slaughterhouses distributed in Al Ain districts, in response to the expected increase in the number of slaughtered animals.
Al Ain slaughterhouses are expected to receive up to 20,000 sacrificial animals of various livestock species during Eid Al Adha.
Hassan Mohammed Al Kaabi, Head of the Veterinary Services Department at the Municipality, said that Al Ain City Municipality is keen to enhance its services to beneficiaries and sacrificers during Eid Al Adha, contributing to improving the quality of these services and ensuring their safety. This purpose is achieved by providing 450 employees, including veterinarians, butchers, and cleaners, while adhering to health and safety procedures in the slaughterhouses to ensure the quality of meat for consumers and reduce customer waiting times due to the expected overcrowding during the Eid holidays.
He added that Al Ain Municipality has adopted working hours that extend to morning and evening periods, starting from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the slaughterhouses of Al Ahali, Al Amerah, Al Qou', Al Salamat, Suwaihan, Al Heer, Al Waqan and the commercial slaughterhouse, starting from the Day of Tarwiyah, the 8th of Zul Hijjah, until the fourth day of Eid Al Adha.
