Al Ain City Municipality has launched a comprehensive awareness campaign under the slogan “Clean Laundries Without Crowds”, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance service quality and safeguard the health and safety of community members. The campaign targeted 447 laundry facilities across Al Ain, aiming to raise health awareness among workers and customers, and ensure the provision of safe services in line with the highest health and preventive standards.
The campaign focuses on educating laundry owners and workers on a number of proper practices, most importantly: avoiding the accumulation of clothes inside facilities, adhering to general cleanliness, applying health and safety requirements, and organizing the process of receiving and delivering clothes in order to reduce congestion inside laundries. These efforts reflect the Municipality’s keenness to protect the health of consumers and workers, and to create a clean and safe work environment that mirrors the civilized level of services in Al Ain City.
During the campaign, inspection teams from the Public Health Department at Al Ain City Municipality will carry out intensive field visits to laundries, which include providing workers with practical guidance, distributing awareness brochures, and monitoring the extent of compliance with health regulations. Laundry owners will also be directed to adopt best practices that ensure a sustainable clean environment and high-quality services that meet community expectations.
Sultan Al Mazrouei, Head of the Health Activities Section, confirmed that this campaign comes within a series of distinctive initiatives implemented by Al Ain City Municipality to raise public awareness and improve services across various sectors. He stressed that adhering to health standards not only contributes to protecting workers and consumers but also reflects the city’s positive image as a modern and healthy destination.
Al Mazrouei added that the Municipality will continue to launch initiatives that enhance quality of life and support Abu Dhabi’s vision of achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.
