Al Ain City Municipality concluded this year’s “Ramadan in Al Ain” events with a remarkable public turnout exceeding 70,000 visitors, in a festive atmosphere that reflected the spirit of the holy month and its social and cultural values. This comes as part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to enhance quality of life in the city and provide community spaces that allow families and visitors to enjoy cultural and entertainment activities that strengthen social cohesion.
The events, held at Al Ain City Municipality Square, witnessed wide participation from families and visitors of all ages, featuring a diverse range of activities including cultural and entertainment programs, artistic performances, and heritage events, in addition to various retail outlets, handicraft corners, and traditional food stalls. All of this took place in a distinctive family-friendly environment aligned with the “Year of the Family” initiatives, promoting stronger family bonds through shared cultural and entertainment experiences.
Maitha Al Kuwaiti, Head of the Events Section at Al Ain City Municipality, stated that this year’s “Ramadan in Al Ain” events aimed to strengthen community ties and revive traditions associated with the holy month, while also providing a cultural and entertainment space that reflects the authenticity of Emirati heritage.
She added that the events also included educational programs and workshops, cultural competitions, and artistic and heritage performances that attracted visitors and enriched their experience throughout the holy month.
Al Kuwaiti noted that the strong turnout reflects the success of the events in attracting visitors and meeting community expectations, affirming the municipality’s commitment to further developing these events in the coming years to make them more diverse and inclusive.
