The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) has praised Al Ain Municipality's approach to developing employee competencies in occupational health and safety, highlighting the role of its training centre in delivering accredited professional programmes and qualifications that enhance awareness and promote the adoption of international best practices in the workplace.
In a published case study, NEBOSH showcased Al Ain Municipality's experience in developing its Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) management system, highlighting the municipality's efforts to foster a prevention-focused organisational culture and strengthen workforce capabilities through specialised training programmes and internationally recognised qualifications.
The case study noted that Al Ain Municipality has successfully established an integrated occupational health and safety framework that supports sustainable institutional performance, enhances accident investigation procedures, and strengthens the effectiveness of its integrated management system in line with internationally recognised standards.
Dr. Ghawiya Al Nuaimi, Head of the Awareness and Communication Section at the Environment, Health and Safety Department of Al Ain Municipality, said: "This case study reflects international recognition of Al Ain Municipality's efforts to advance its Environment, Health and Safety system.
