Al Ain City Municipality concluded the first phase of competitions of the seventh edition of the Sweihan Desert Hills Recreational Festival, one of the most prominent annual events attracting motorsports and desert activity enthusiasts.
The recently held championships witnessed strong turnout from both participants and audiences, along with high levels of competition across all events. A total of 329 competitors participated, with an attendance of 3,314 spectators, while the total value of prizes reached AED 1,703,000.
Engineer Nasser Omar Al Breiki, Supervisor of the Sweihan Desert Hills Recreational Festival, stated that the festival included a freestyle stunt championship with 65 competitors and an audience exceeding 1,200 participants and spectators. The competition was marked by strong public engagement and impressive skill performances, culminating in the announcement and awarding of four winners with prizes totalling AED 120,000.
He added that the Pro Drift Championship was held with the participation of 14 competitors and an audience of 520 spectators. The competition was characterized by a highly energetic atmosphere and strong interaction from motorsports fans, with winners announced at the conclusion of the round and cash prizes totalling AED 105,000 distributed.
