“Ramadan in Al Ain” events, held at Al Ain City Municipality Square, continue to attract visitors, offering an integrated experience that combines shopping, entertainment, and cultural heritage in a distinctive Ramadan atmosphere that enhances community engagement during the holy month.
Since their launch, the events organized by Al Ain City Municipality have witnessed remarkable turnout from families and visitors, with attendance exceeding 30,000, thanks to the diversity of activities and programs catering to different segments of society. The events continued until March 8, featuring ongoing daily programs and activities that attract families and visitors, as part of community initiatives aimed at reviving the spirit of the holy month and enhancing cultural and commercial activity in the city.
Maitha Al Kuwaiti, Head of Events Section at Al Ain City Municipality, confirmed that this year’s “Ramadan in Al Ain” carries a renewed identity with a distinctive creative vision, clearly reflected in the site’s design and visual details, inspired by the fluidity and warmth of sand dunes, as well as traditional windows with authentic heritage patterns.
She added that the new identity of the second edition reflects a comprehensive concept in decorations, installations, and layout, creating a unique interactive experience that transports visitors to a nostalgic atmosphere reflecting the authenticity and cohesion of Emirati society. The events also include a Ramadan Majlis that brings community members together in a dialogue-driven setting that promotes connection and cohesion, alongside an interactive stage featuring various programs, competitions, and prizes for attendees, creating a vibrant atmosphere that combines entertainment with community participation.
The events also feature four dedicated sections for artisans to showcase their handmade products and highlight traditional crafts, in addition to a corner for Emirati coffee preparation, attracting visitors through live demonstrations of traditional brewing methods. Interactive workshops for children and families are also organized to develop skills and revive cultural heritage through innovative approaches.
The interactive stage has drawn strong audience engagement through a variety of cultural and heritage competitions inspired by local traditions, designed in an interactive format that allows direct audience participation, alongside entertainment segments that enhance awareness of national identity, with both in-kind and cash prizes offered.
