"Al Ain Summer" events, organized by Al Ain City Municipality, starts the day before yesterday and will continue until the 27th of this month. A number of government and private sector entities are participating in the event, which targets families and individuals across the various regions of Al Ain.
The first day of the event attracted a large crowd of different nationalities of all groups, who came to enjoy a variety of activities. These included intellectual skills challenges, physical activities, and other events designed to appeal to all members of the family.
The summer activities, held in wedding halls and water parks throughout the city, aim to provide engaging entertainment during the summer months, bringing joy to the community. The initiative seeks to increase public satisfaction by creating family-friendly spaces in a suitable environment while also activating municipal facilities and popular public spaces. This approach enhances communication with various parts of society.
A large number of attendees praised the variety of activities offered, which accommodate to the interests and needs of the greatest number of visitors, regardless of their nationalities and cultures, as well as different age groups. They emphasized that the presence of varied summer activities during the holiday brings together both adults and children, adding more enjoyment and joy for all family members.
Saeed Abdullah Al-Jabri, Section Manager of the Facilities and Community Events Development Section, explained that Al Ain Summer Activities for this year are part of the community programs organized by Al Ain City Municipality for the residents and visitors of the city, aiming to enhance the quality of life. He noted that the municipality organizes these events in collaboration with government and private sectors, contributing to the strengthening of community partnerships.
Then he added: “The summer activities are distributed across Al Hayer Wedding Hall, Al Ain Mall, and Al Amal Park, featuring events suitable for both indoor and outdoor venues. These activities will include physical and movement games, cultural competitions, and artistic workshops. Additionally, there will be performances by various communities, and to support small and medium-sized enterprises, a market for productive families will be organized.
Al Jabri continued:” through the events, there will be an introduction to the electronic services of Al Ain City Municipality, as well as awareness campaigns about the importance of maintaining the city's overall appearance. The municipality is also keen to instill traditional values by offering workshops to learn Emirati customs (Sinn), in addition to heritage activities and handicrafts.
Al-Jabri stated that: Al Amal Park will host a variety of summer activities, being a water park, including competitions for the best sandcastle, water shooting events, and ice cream contests, among other activities suitable for open spaces. Additionally, there will be awareness sessions on the importance of drinking water, alongside cultural competitions and exhibitions for productive families.
